Tiger's Nest is a luxury contemporary alpine lodge situated at 1600m in the east of Les 4 Vallées, Switzerland's most extensive ski area. This fully-staffed retreat offers access to some of Europe's best skiing, as well as being an idyllic summer base for sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking, shopping, golf, tennis and other pursuits. With five double bedrooms, Tiger's Nest is perfectly suited for two families or up to 10 adults.

Named after Bhutan's iconic Tiger's Nest Temple, the four-storey lodge is designed to offer guests a tranquil mountain escape in elegant surroundings with dramatic 270° views of the Pennine Alps, including the famous Dent Blanche and Matterhorn peaks.

The area offers superb and reliable snow conditions with six popular ski lifts within a 12-minute drive of the house. Tiger's Nest is situated outside the small village of Les Masses and minutes by car to the ski villages of Les Collons, Thyon and Veysonnez.

The lodge team - including a host, chef and driver/ski concierge – is there to delight and surprise our guests and to accommodate any specific requests.

We are no ordinary ski lodge. While we want guests to enjoy the informality, freedom and raw beauty of the mountains, we do not compromise on city luxuries. Tiger's Nest is about providing a high quality experience in one of the world's most magnificent natural landscapes.

Skiers can also access other parts of Les 4 Vallées — Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. Further afield in the Valais region are nine resorts that reach over 3000m, including Arolla, Crans-Montana, Saas-Fee and Zermatt. All are within easy reach of Tiger's Nest.

Less than 2 hours from Geneva airport, and 3 hours from Zurich and Milan's Malpensa airports, Tiger's Nest is in central Valais, 20 minutes from Sion, the capital of the canton. Alternatively, private planes can fly direct into Sion airport.

Valais enjoys a Mediterranean-like climate with 2,000 hours of sunshine annually.


ACCOMMODATION
With five double bedrooms, Tiger's Nest is perfectly suited for two families, travelling with or without a nanny, or up to 10 adults.

The house is furnished throughout in a luxurious East meets West contemporary style in collaboration with one of Scotland's finest interior designers. There are superb linens, beautiful silks and cashmeres, an abundant use of chrome, silver and glass, and stunning wall creatives throughout the four floors of the house.

LEVEL 2
The master suite is located on the entire top floor of the house, and has spectacular mountain and valley views. The suite features a romantic free-standing bed, luxurious linens and a spectacular bathtub for two with a skylight that opens to allow snow to fall into the bath. In addition, the room has a sitting and television area and walk-in wardrobe.

LEVEL 1
The first floor of the house comprises a beautiful sitting room and dining room with panoramic views, a kitchen and a small study area. There are lovely gardens around the house, a breakfast terrace and main terrace with a fire pit for those cool summer evenings, or for champagne in the snow. There is also a separate outdoor yoga deck cut into the mountain slope for those wishing to practice yoga, Pilates or simply stretch or exercise standing on top of the world.

GROUND FLOOR
There are three ensuite double bedrooms (two of which can be converted into twins) on the ground floor of the house. In addition, there is a further bedroom with a separate bathroom. Each room features the highest quality linens, beautiful French and Asian finishings, and luxurious beds. All come with Bose iPod speakers, safes, Frette robes and slippers, hairdryers and spa products. Three of the bedrooms also have televisions and blu-ray players.

BASEMENT
The dramatic basement and entrance area – perfect for sipping hot chocolate served by our house manager after a hard day on the slopes, or fresh lemonade after a challenging set of tennis – are overlooked by Tiger Nest's antique Buddha's head from Northern China.

During the ski season, the full house is rented on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Exclusive use rates, include:

LOCATION
Tiger's Nest is situated above the snowline at an altitude of 1600m in the Swiss Alps with many popular ski lifts just a few minutes away, which our driver will take you to and from.

The lodge is in the East of les 4 Vallées, Switzerland's most expansive ski area outside the small village of Les Masses and a short drive from the ski village of Les Collons, Thyon and Veysonnaz. We are a 20-minute drive from Sion, the capital of Valais.

Given the area's unique topography – with the Valaisanne and Bernoises Alps shielding the region's valleys from rain and humidity while encouraging warm dry winds – the region enjoys a Mediterranean-like climate with 2,000 hours of sunshine annually.

For ski and snow boarding enthusiasts, the area offers superb and reliable snow conditions with all resorts over 1600m and six popular ski lifts within a few minutes drive of the house. Skiers can also easily access other parts of Les 4 Vallées – Nendaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. Further afield in the Valais region are nine resorts that reach over 3000m, including Arolla, Crans-Montana, Saas-Fee and Zermatt.

While Sion (20-minutes from Tiger's Nest) offers guests good shopping options, there are fabulous boutique and designer stores in the resorts of Crans-Montana (55 minutes), Verbier (60 minutes) and Zermatt (80 minutes).

GETTING THERE
Tiger's Nest is less than 2 hours by car from Geneva airport, and 3 hours from Zurich and Milan's Malpensa airports.

A highly efficient direct train service also connects Sion to Geneva Airport. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.


In addition, private planes can fly into Sion Airport during daylight hours.
We can arrange airport transfers or taxis for an additional charge. Helicopter transfers to Sion can also be arranged.
